Who we are

The National Association for Tourism, Sport and Recreation is a National Tourism Organization, with the purpose of fostering tourism and promoting and marketing the development of all kinds of travel related, tourism, destination and recreational activities nationwide and abroad, as well as travel externally (Outgoing Travel).

NATSR not only advocates the effective international cooperation and development in these spheres, especially via means of digital media and online advertising, but also to bolster and to further active participation in wide range of international projects, events, shows and activities; membership in and maintaining contacts with similar international travel and tourism bodies.

NATSR also aims at attracting investment in these fields and to actively promote the development and the marketing of the tourism and travel business; to represent its members in these organizations or movements and to coordinate and encourage their participation in local, regional, national or international events and projects; to provide them with all the necessary information about the related activities and/or events; to fundraise the necessary financial means and resources for sustaining these activities.

NATSR aims – among other things - to support the effective international cooperation in the spheres of travel, tourism, destination marketing and management; to participate in international events, shows and activities; membership in and maintaining contacts with similar international travel and tourism bodies; to attract investment in these fields.

Our mission is to represent our members in these organizations or movements and to coordinate and encourage their participation in local, regional, national or international events; to provide them with all the necessary information about the related activities and/or events; to develop and strengthen the responsible and sustainable tourism, travel and recreational values.

We also strive to be the leading resource for professional and amateur travel, tourism, recreation and sports and to market Bulgaria as a successful quality tourism destination while helping conserve its unique environment and culture.

Headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria, with branches in Luxembourg, London, New York and Spain, NATSR now includes a number of highly trained and motivated members throughout the country, and abroad.
